CHAITRAS BLOG: Social Media Addiction

  • :BLOG: Recalling the time I changed my iPhone to google plus, amazed by the features it had and was appalled by how google voice was listening to me 24/7. I still use the same phone, it knows what I want to see/read on my social media platforms, a pair of shoes that I don’t need, but it goes on to influence me to follow certain feminist page or even to new plant-based recipe. My phone take care of everything, I just have to google JBL headphones and my Instagram ad will show me the best headphones on the market today on the sales price.

  • :BLOG: In collab with @enrichyour_mind, I documented the "new norm" of this Pandemic life, which you all might relate to some extent. As the project demanded to show two contrasting daily routines of our lives during the pandemic times. In the video below, you will see some days where I am super productive and some days where I find no motivation to move or cook. The motto behind is to remind oneself not to be hard when you feel unproductive, take a break when you are less motivated.

I read and understand how people see the concept of skin colour and classify someone on the basis of their colour tone. I would not deny the fact of a number of times I felt insecure in my own skin.

  • :BLOG: Going back to the first week of April when the Pandemic restricted everyone to stay home was the most challenging days of this quarantine times. I followed it like everyone else as it was really necessary to flatten the curve. To someone who is workaholic, this lockdown gave so much time in hand yet the days passed in panic questioning uncertainty and getting overwhelmed with new information. I was one of them, who got very anxious about isolating oneself and wondering what am gonna do now?

  • Every country celebrates its national day but probably a very few likely to celebrate the day so enthusiastically as Norwegians do. Like every other year, 17. mai (17th May)  is a spring celebration with a festive mood throughout the country, especially in the capital of Oslo. Despite the current situation, we all did enjoy this day thoroughly, like every year with laughter, music, dance, and with love.
